Pune Reporter | The Savitribai Phule Pune University’s (SPPU), Department of Commerce and Maharashtra Tax Practitioners’ Association, signed MOUs on Tuesday, 7th May, 2024, at 11:00 a.m, at VC office, SPPU.
The MOU was signed by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SPPU, Prof. (Dr.) Suresh Gosavi and Maharashtra Tax Practitioners’ Association’s President CMA Shripad Bedarkar. The dignitaries present during the MOU Signing Ceremony were the Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Parag Kalkar, officiating Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Khare, Maharashtra Tax Practitioners’ Association’s Vice President Mr. Prasad Deshpande, Chairman, Mr. Narendra Sonawane, Course Committee, Secretary Adv. Anurudra Chavan, Treasure Mr. Milind Hendre, Mr. Vinayak Ambekar, Senate member of SPPU, Dr. G. Syamala, Head, Department of Commerce, SPPU, Asst Prof Mr, Om Verlekar
Objectives of MoU are as under:
- To promote collaboration between Commerce Department and industry through Association.
(b) To educate Tax & Accounting Professionals and inculcate academic excellence to them through Commerce Department. - To Encourage faculty and Tax & Accounting Professionals for achieving quality education in Taxation and Commerce.
- To utilize University Expertise in need-based training programme and enhancement of skills of employees in various areas.
- To facilitate Tax & Accounting Professionals for Internship training.
- To provide opportunities to commerce students for Internship program with Maharashtra Tax Practitioners’ Association (formerly known as The Western Maharashtra Tax Practitioners’ Association)
- To empower and enable the Association to provide the platform to students of the Department in acquiring knowledge, technical skills, to develop overall personalities and getting Industry experience in the field of taxation & accounting.
